But when using the default view for all albums for browsing these albums are shown. The best free alternative to Windows Media Player 2018. Adding album art, and letting you edit metadata manually if necessary. There's also a jukebox option and the ability to push media.
Backbohne wrote: The script reads the same artist list (container) as the controler, means the list will be provided by the zoneplayer. The zoneplayer provides no specific albumartist list or attributes. Thanks BB, but the ZP then must provide the albumartist attribute as part of the container it returns because I can ask the controller to group on it (or on the iTunes 'compilation' tag). I'm just not sure if this is a different container from the ZP or if it is one of the attributes it returns that the controller then uses to manipulate the list. Ifit's the latter, then I guess it's the GUI portion that needs to render the artist list in a different manner, right? Ok, I've read this thread from the very beginning to see IF I can install this on a Windows 2000 Professional Box. I am not a web programmer so this needs to be a VERY basic Installation procedure.
Is there a Windows Installer that will load ALL the perl (and other) modules to the Windows (as well as XP machines ie Laptops) so that this is a simple 'Non techie' install that will run 'out of the box'??? Looks like GREAT contributions have been made by many forum readers to this excellent work by Andy. This product is GREAT and with the advent of the iPhone is going to be SO hot. What is the URL of the Web-Page where I can read the latest and greatest from Andy? As a old school pc programmer, I commend you on your wonderful efforts here and to the SONOS community.
Backbohne wrote: The 'group' options is not an option of your controler, but rather an option of the zoneplayer. You can not have two different view with two controler on the same zoneplayer. The zoneplayer is using this option/flag while reading the tracks from your shares to create the artistlist.
OK, in which case the Artist list on the sonosweb page should be the same as the Controller and Desktop right? They all come from the ZP. But in my case, my Controller and Desktop show a list sorted by AlbumArtist and the sonosweb page shows the list sorted by Artist. Hello, SonosWeb users. We have discovered and fixed two problems with the program that our fellow SonosWeb users may find helpful. If you have encountered either of the following bugs, please try the following steps. And afterwards, please share your experiences and comments with this thread.
Issue #1 -- Inability to browse large, local result sets. Qualcomm usb driver samsung f480 applications online. The problem: When browsing a large library of local music (not Rhapsody or other online service), only the first thousand or so artists (ordered alphabetically) are displayed in the browser.
The cause: The SonosWeb function upnp_content_dir_browse() uses the included Perl UPnP library to pull the list of local files from the player, 5000 entries at a time. If there are more than 5000 songs, multiple UPnP transactions are carried out. The results of each transaction are stored in an array, and each such transaction-specific array is stored in another, top-level array called @data, which represents the entire result of the user's browse action. Unfortunately, the upnp_content_dir_browse function returns only $data[0], the first transaction-specific array, not the entire @data array. The fix: A function was created that dumps the contents of the sub-arrays $data[1] through $data[n] right into $data[0]. This function is called collapse_subarrays, and gets invoked immediately before the return statement in upnp_content_dir_browse(): @data = collapse_subarrays( @data); It has the effect of causing all the browsed results to be returned correctly. Here's the function itself.
